Boundaries
At Mi Amor Counseling Services, we establish boundaries, while remaining personable. These boundaries set the tone, ensure expectations and clarity during the visit.
We want to build a healthy relationship with our youth where they know they can trust us.
Without boundaries, this can not be accomplished.
Never Use Vulnerability
Sometimes, our youth can become emotional while sharing their thoughts. This is an important time for the youth to release some weight that might be impairing their decisions.

We are well-trained and efficient in responding appropriately to such breakthroughs from our youth. We never use the helplessness as points for lecturing, but only as areas of potential improvement.
Promoting Self-Acceptance
The modern world is well advanced than all the previous years and decades. Coming to grips with what makes a person unique and special is a long road to venture through. Individuals who refuse to accept individuality based on their "morals" or other such excuses complicate this road.

It is the exact opposite of the atmosphere that
Mi Amor Counseling Services wishes to have for its clients. We examine who they are and what is their real identity. Our youth need a safe space. That safe space must never be taken from them or interfered with as it is the ultimate basis of "who" they are!
